SmellsLikeGoatSpirit ProGoat replied: "Hard one... In Bloom Smells Like Teen Spirit Come As You Are Lithium but Smells can also be on 1st place..."

Hannah E replied: "Lithium"

Lara Croft replied: ""Come As You Are""

Prof. Anger (hates stupid jerks) replied: "I'd probably say Lithium, but Come As You Are is in close competition. Honestly, I think Drain You is easily the best track on the record."

Crystal T replied: "Come as you are, In Bloom, Lithium and Tenn Spirit is my order from most to least. I love come as you are, it's always been my fav."

Sue L replied: "It's a toss up between Lithium and In Bloom...then CAYA, & SLTS..followed by Drain You & Something in the Way."

sabes99 replied: "i know i will catch a lot of flack for this, but i truly believe that teen spirit is nirvana's best song, even for all its mainstream popularity...it captures an attitude and essence that no other song does, and the ambiguity of the lyrics help the confused feelings of the song itself"

Sabrina Is a fan of Muse replied: ""Come as You Are""

Amy replied: "Lithium IMO: 1) Lithium 2)Come as You Are}-------{These two are 3) In Bloom}-------------------{really tied IMO 4) Smells like Teen Spirit"

The Radio Waves Were Like Snow replied: "I. In Bloom 2. Lithium 3, Come As You Are 4. Smells Like Teen Spirit I've grown to nearly hate Teen Spirit over the years. I actually usually skip it when listening to the album. just heard it waaaay too much. Although the Melvins cover of it is hilarious."

Justin B replied: "i think all for all lithium is the most musical and most fun to listen to"

floating in glass replied: "Come As You Are Lithium In Bloom/Smells Like Teen Spirit (joint third..... SORRY!) ok I love them all. Smells Like Teen Spirit was an amazing single, changed music and all, but I just can't listen to it anymore. Maybe every few months I'll feel like it, but it's been so overplayed that usually I just don't want to. So I'm saying this song is probably the best but I'm putting it last. Come As You Are is first because the riff is one of my favourite things to play on guitar. My favourite songs on Nevermind are Polly and Territorial Pissings, though. They're completely opposite but they kind of sum it all up. I don't know what 'IMO' means though. =/ EDIT: thanks eric :)"

Eric R replied: ""In my opinion" f.i.g...Jeez amateur!!! Just kidding:D switch 2 and 4 and thats my list Paperbag. I agree with f.i.g. on Teen Spirit."

Cowboy From Hell replied: "Lithium is my all time favourite Nirvana song. 1.Lithium 2.In Bloom 3.Come as you are 4.Smells like teen spirit"

Happiness is a Warm Gun replied: ""In Bloom" I wish "Breed" would have been a single..off that record...."

OMG Smells like Teen Spirit is just ******* Amazing?? Nevermind is amazing? Agree??Whats the best song? I'd say Lithium, but they are all great

REAPER replied: "welcome to the 90's"

rishathra7 replied: "umm... i like the one that he ripped of from david bowie..."

DIRT MCGIRT replied: "Pennyroyal Tea is my favorite."

DIRKDIGGLER replied: "freaking nut that shit is so old it plays on the classic rock station and it all sucks by the way"

The King of All Answerer's replied: "dude that was like 20 years ago almost, Nirvana is a terrible band, and there are many terrible bands that sound just like him. ALLLLLBLLLLALALALALLAAL< ABDBAHDHA BDHA GEHAJ EI< ADJIAHDU IADHU ADH UAIDH M DAJD IHAJI HDUA OH >>>>"

punkrokgrl replied: "OMG!! I LOVE NIRVANA... I like Lithium, Smells like teen spirt, Come as you are, and Rape Me. And Nevermind is the best freakin album by Nirvana."

dark_vampire_irry replied: "yep...smells like teen spirit is great...i think it's the best..but i don't know so many of their songs so i might be wrong :D"

maxie replied: "The best song is Smells like Teen Spirit."

Dj Sam replied: "Smells like teen spirit is an amazing song. the words "Here v r now, entertain us" makes u realize the reason y u r here. Get entertained n get the f.u.c.k outta here - n thats what kurt did."

XnIrVaNaxDDGxRaRxGExROCKSX replied: "i totally agree with you... nirvana is amazing. Smells Like Teen Spirit was the top hit in the 90's....but to me it will always be! some how i never get sick of any of there songs. nirvana is just AMAZING!"

Heart Shaped Box is the Smells Like Teen Spirit of In Utero? I want you to match up these songs with each other. Match them by simularities or do it the way I did it on the title. In Utero: Serve The Servants Scentless Apprentice Heart-Shaped Box Rape Me Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle Dumb Very Ape Milk It Pennyroyal Tea Radio Friendly Unit Shifter tourette's All Apologies Nevermind: Smells Like Teen Spirit In Bloom Come as You Are Breed Lithium Polly Territorial Pissings Drain You Lounge Act Stay Away On a Plain Something in the Way

My Friend Goo replied: "Serve The Servants - Drain You. There's not much logical reasoning to this one, lol. Scentless Apprentice - In Bloom. I picked these because they were the only two left but, it turns out, they're both the 2nd songs on the albums. : ) Heart-Shaped Box - I agree SLTS. They are both the big hits of the albums Rape Me - Polly. Because these are probably the songs that people are most offended by even though they are both anti-rape songs. Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle - Lithium. Both have soft verses with prominent basslines and loud choruses. Dumb - Something In The Way. They aren't too similar but, both are slower songs. Very Ape - Stay Away. They both mock pop culture and the "macho" image. Milk It - Lounge Act. Both have screaming choruses. Pennyroyal Tea - On A Plain. It's hard to explain but, I have sight/sound synesthesia, and these songs are similar colors. Radio Friendly Unit Shifter - Breed. Both are loud with chunky riffs. tourette's - Territorial Pissings... just because they are both kind of the "crazy" songs. All Apologies - Come As You Are, because they are both popular but, not the biggest songs on the album."

Lily! **is On Hiatus** replied: "Serve The Servants: In Bloom (both in part are about Nirvana's poser fans) Heart-Shaped Box: Agree with you on Smells Like Teen Spirit. Rape Me: Come as You Are (I don't know how to explain the similiarity between the two, lol....) Dumb: On a Plain (Um....both were performed at the Unplugged concert? lol) Very Ape: Breed (both are a bit crazy) Radio Friendly Unit Shifter: Lithium (no explantion, sorry) Tourette's: Territorial Pissings (both are a bit wild) All Apologies: Polly (both have slower tempos then their other songs)"

Dr. Robert Isn't a Doctor replied: "Smells like Teen Spirit was no where near Heart-Shaped Box. And I'd comare the songs, but I don't think they where meant to be compared. Plus typing is hard on an iPod Touch :p."

Zafro Lightning replied: "I can't even compare the two! they are two way different sounds! Nevermind was more of the pop sound, while In Utero was kind of more experimental. I dont think Heart Shaped Box would have been as big of a hit if it came out before Smells Like Teen Spirit. A lot of the Nirvana fans back then were more like SLTS fans."

Does anyone else think Kurt Cobain was a selfish jackass? Also, is anyone sick of hearing the same old muddy Nirvana songs on the radio. Come on, "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Lithium"? Yawn... I know I am gonna get a lot of flack for this, but I don't much care about that. I am just so tired of people saying Nevermind was the best album of the 90's when there so many other albums released the YEAR it came out that were better. Oooops

kat replied: "Sure he was selfish, but aren''t we all? Cobain was an amazing musician. You hear all of Nirvana's songs on the radio so much because they're classics. By the way, Nevermind was awesome!"

Luke H replied: "DUDE i sort of agree wid u but u can say that!!! you cant dis kurt cobain!!! i mean come on!!! Nirvana was and always will be all time awesome. Yeah i know what your saying, i know it does get boring listening to the same old stuff, but give some of their other awesome songs a chance i mean, listen to polly, heart shaped box, come as you are, breed, on a plane, the list goes on and on. The part where i TOTALLY AGREE with you is where people say that nevermind was the best 90's album...NO WAY, there were plenty of other awesome bands from the 90s!!! I also tired of listening to smells like teen spirit, but u gotta give yourselves some of the blame people!! Its you guys who wore the song out, you play it too much, to not apreciate that he poured his heart into making that song Luke."

RJ_inthehouse replied: "First, that's David Geffen's fault. Nevermind was Nirvana's foray into commercial music. If they hadn't forayed into commercial radio, nobody would've known about them. When people talk about the best albums of the 90s, they talk about the best selling albums, because they appear to be more popular. The best Nirvana songs are on their live albums. Bleach (1988 only sold 500,000 original copies, but everyon claims to have one) is pure and unspoiled. Incesticide (1992, Nirvana's 3rd, not 2nd studio album) is good as well. In Utero is also a commercial piece of junk. Even Kurt Cobain thought so."

-CTK- replied: "Nevermind was a TREMENDOUS album. My favorite album from the 90's, though, was Red Hot Chili Peppers' "One Hot Minute". Not the best, I know. But it was my favorite. I do believe Nevermind had to be ONE of THE best of the 90's, though. And if you actually listen to the radio, that's your problem. The radio is trash, and that's why you hear those two songs over and over. How was he a selfish jackass? Because he "killed himself"? Well newsflash, lots of people kill themselves. And he actually did it for a REAL reason. He became everything he hated so much, and with all prior success, there was no way of rewinding. So he just hit fast forward and that was it."

RoVale replied: "I've never liked "Smells Like Teen Spirit". Most of the lyrics are unintelligible and the song itself sounds a lot like Boston's "More Than A Feeling"."

The 12 Days of Saturnalia replied: "selfish? i think you're spending too much time over analyzing the life of a total stranger (and a dead one) but i agree, i'm way over Nirvana and grunge in general bring back shoegaze bands, now that i never get tired of"

M.Labouret replied: "If one was to spawn a precious little daughter, and I'm not saying that his(Frances Bean Cobain) wasn't but to leave said such daughter without a dad to endure the pains of the world without a caring father is pretty much a wimpy, selfish jackass, any which way you want to cut it up and snort it. You just can't defend that. No matter your #1 hits, #1 albums, conflicting emotions over your fame, inability to handle your addictions, or lack of common sense. Bottom line is your pedigree matters little in the face of your youth if your not there to hold them."

William replied: "To a degree, yes, he was selfish. Most addicts are. However, the man's biggest redeeming feature was that he talked about his influences constantly and at length. Even if most of his fans weren't listening, he wanted the world to know and love the people who inspired him as much as they loved Nirvana. That said, Nevermind was a terribly overproduced album that paled in comparison to the dirtier pop sound of Bleach. As for In Utero, the only major complaint I have is that that album almost completely ruined Steve Albini's production career for some time afterward. Albini's sonic blueprint was not well-liked by major studios, and working with a large band like Nirvana intimidated many of the smaller indies who were his regular customers. I can't remember the last time I really listened to the radio."

scooby-doo replied: "Dude, your playn with fire here!! I hope Kurt Cobains ghost haunts your dreams, DONT BAG THE MASTER!!!!!!"

pat m replied: "First time I looked him, should get his record. He's dead now. Everyone knows of always hears about Courney Love."

Yesdean replied: "No! He was killed by Courtney Love, not a self-inflicted gun shot. He would never have written: 'Its better to burn out than fade away' Never"

kit walker replied: "RIP Kurt...But he was a wanker...music like his was old..media intervened...and we have a legend..I feel sorry for the guy...but it was old..it's no great deal..he was here and gone."

lovnrckets replied: "LOL. Of course he was. There is no other logical conclusion you can come to. He had a wife (even though she was and still is a train wreck) and a child, so that alone was plenty of reason to live. He had more than enough money to seek treatment for whatever addiction or "disease" (if you even subscribe to that theory) plagued him. Instead, he took the selfish and cowardly route. Nevermind was a good album but its memory has been tarnished by corporate radio playing it into the ground. I know I'm forever sick of hearing it."

hilary duff replied: "It's easy to put down someone that is dead and can't defend themselves. When someone is feeling so bad that they think suicide is the only way out, the last thing that their loved ones need to hear is some cold, unfeeling stranger judging them."

15 years since Smells Like Teen Spirit! What are your Nirvana memories? I would like to hear them, because i have none, as i was only 4 at the time. Although Smells like teen spirit is not my favourite nirvana song its probably the most popular and well known with people who are not Nirvana fans but music lovers. My favourite part of that song is the whole idea of the Album title "And I forget Just what it takes And yet I guess it makes me smile I found it hard Its hard to find Oh well, whatever, nevermind". Maybe that means more to me than any other people but i think whatever and nevermind give off this angst feeling in teenagers especially in America. My favourite song is actually Lithium or Sappy. Thanks for reading! Non nirvana fans also welcome to an opinion.

curious1 replied: "i liked nirvana as well...some people like that, get caught up into the hard drug scene..look at ozzy, that's from years of hard drugs and booze..maybe kurt had more issues then was told, even though i heard he'd written a suicide letter..i guess ya never know how someone feels, unless you're that person..but,they rocked..they were a pretty good grunge band."

madhusudan replied: "as a freshman in highschool, when teen spirit came out it made a huge impression on me. the older kids who were into punk thought it was lame, but the rest of us loved it. at that time radio wasn't playing anything like that sound. a memory: having tickets to a nirvana concert, i think the pixies and someone else good was gonna be there, but we got busted by our parents for drinking. we ended up selling our tickets to my friend's older brother for like $10."

classikrockluvr replied: "I love the video for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" because it came out the year that I was born, and it \'s just a good video. I don't have any Nirvana memories either because what kid that young listens to anything besides nursery rhymes (but when I am older and have kids, they will listen to Nirvana!)? In the past year I figured out what that song (Smells Like Teen Spirit) was. It always sounded familiar to me whenever I heard it. Ever since then I have LOVED Nirvana! I recently bought their first album, Bleach and I love it! Too bad I couldn't have had any memories of this song back when it came out. But I guess that now I can...and I guess that you can too! by the way... that verse that you listed is my FAVORITE! my favorite Nirvana song is "In Bloom" which (I guess you know) is also on Nevermind."

radioflyer replied: "I remember being significantly 'struck' the first time I heard Teen Spirit, like I mean lightning down the spine. Same thing with Lithium. The songs off the Unplugged album are much more mellow...but still soo very sad, so very intense. I can't describe exactly the rush of mixed feelings I get when I listen to Nirvana. Both negatives and positives at the same time...I love Sappy as well. At one time I owned the 'Outcesticide' bootleg compilation but a friend borrowed it and never returned it...ah...I compare Nirvana to Shakesperean tragedy..."

Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Nirvana? These are, in my opinion, three of the best bands of the past 20 years. Not the three best bands, but three of the best. I know this prolly gets asked a lot, but I'll do something different. Remember type your opinion AT THE MOMENT. Right now I think Nevermind's best, but next week I'll probably love Appetite For Destruction best again, and then Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Appetite For Destruction or Blood Sugar Sex Magik or Nevermind? Sweet Child O Mine, November Rain, Welcome to the Jungle or Give it Away, Under the Bridge, Dani California or Smells Like Teen Spirit, Heart Shaped Box, Come As You Are? Knockin' On Heaven's Door or Fire or Lake of Fire? Nightrain, It's So Easy, My Michelle, Paradise City, Rocket Queen or Suck My Kiss, Breaking the Girl, Mellowship Slinky in B Major, Naked in the Rain, I Could have Lied or Breed, Lithium, Something in the Way, Polly, In Bloom? Write the song you think are underrated by all three artists. Mine are; One in a Million, Mellowship Slinky in B Major and Lake of Fire. Type your favourite songs at the moment by them. Mine are; You Could be Mine, Blood Sugar Sex Magik (the song) and Territorial Pissings. Finally type your favourite at the moment. Mine are; Red Hot Chili Peppers. P.S What's you fav artist AT THE MOMENT, out of anyone? (Excluding those three) and your fav song by them? Mine's prolly Aerosmith and Sweet Emotion.

cbjr replied: "Way to much to answer and evaluate. Simple is good. I'll just say that, just for the CD Appetite for Destruction, GnR is the better band of the three."

Girl replied: "Dark Angel, Burn Bitch Burn or Everyday High by Mayflowerblood. If you like old stoner tunes this is probably your thing. He sounds sorta like ACDC"

guitarist replied: "Appetite For Destruction was my first album i ever got lol i love it it will always be the best album ever (to me) then chilli and then nirvana. and my fav artist at eh moment erm i have been listening and getting into "dope" and "megadeth" recently so i have to say both. and the song dope - paranoia megadeth - blood of hero's (softer than there normal stuff but its good)"

cathoratio replied: "Nice but long question. And I just named my newborn Ian too... Three of my favs -- but Nirvana is my answer Scar Tissue, Rape Me, Welcome to the Jungle. I just love the nah nahs..... Dumb is one of my favorites not played often and the whole unplugged album is awesome -- Lake of Fire is of course a Meat Puppets song but excellent. I'm big Rage Against fan, so Audioslave too. Queens of Stone Age, Korn, Disturbed, Papa Roach, Metallica etc. At the moment I'm liking listening to Kings of Leon. They sound fresh."

lizzie replied: "out of the 3 in my opinion starting with the best: 1) nirvana 2) guns n roses 3) red hot chili peppers"

DB replied: "Red Hot Shitty Peppers are gay compared to the other 2 bands."

Gabe replied: "Blood Sugar Sex Magik Give it Away, Under the Bridge, Dani California Fire Lithium, Something in the Way, Polly, In Bloom? Write the song you think are underrated by all three artists. Not sure about GnR, but Venice Queen and Cabron (RHCP) and Something In The Way (Nirvana) Type your favourite songs at the moment by them. Mine are: Sweet Child O Mine (GnR), Under The Bridge, Venice Queen, and Scar Tissue (RHCP), Something In The Way and Come As You Are (Nirvana) Finally type your favourite at the moment. Mine is; Red Hot Chili Peppers. P.S What's you fav artist AT THE MOMENT, out of anyone? (Excluding those three) and your fav song by them? Led Zeppelin and Over The Hills and Far Away"

lizardmomma replied: "I saw GNR live so by default I have to go with them at their heyday in the early 90s. I love the blood sugar sex magik song and album and nirvana's nevermind is the only album by them that I own. For my other favs "at the moment" would be metallica saw them 3 times and they are my fav of all time, evanescence is my other fav. The megadeth song "blood of heroes" that someone else mention is a great song, the entire "Cryptic Writings" Album is terrific."

allison v replied: "1. Nirvana 2. Red Hot Chili Peppers 3. Guns N' Roses"

My Friend Goo replied: "1.Nirvana (my avatar gives it away, doesn't it?) 2. RCHP 3. GNR (I really can't stand Axl, sorry.) So, to answer your many questions, I would always rank albums, songs, covers, etc. with Nirvana being first, RCHP second and GNR last. ...and my favorite band is Nirvana and my favorite song of theirs is Heart Shaped Box or Sappy."

MontanaLove replied: "Appetite For Destruction or Blood Sugar Sex Magik or Nevermind? --Nevermind :D Sweet Child O Mine, November Rain, Welcome to the Jungle or Give it Away, Under the Bridge, Dani California or Smells Like Teen Spirit, Heart Shaped Box, Come As You Are? --Hm..Smells Like Teen Spirit, Heart-Shaped Box & Dani California. =/ Tough choice. Knockin' On Heaven's Door or Fire or Lake of Fire? --None. --Polly & In Bloom. :) Write the song you think are underrated by all three artists. --Hm, not sure. Type your favourite songs at the moment by them. --Don't listen to Guns n Roses. I love Scar Tissue & In Bloom. Finally type your favourite at the moment. Exitosus replied: "you need some good metal in there. try machine head. they are a little similar to slipknot, but i think they are way better and more creative too, more singing and more meaning behind their songs."

melodude replied: "personally i would dump the slipknot because, quite frankly, they have no talent when compared to actual metal bands. I would also recommend getting those pink flyod albums in full, because pink floyd is awesome. if you really like the slipknot i would recommend trying to listen to some real metal, try listening to a band like Wintersun, and you may see what i mean. All together a good list. I would also dump death magnetic for one of their earlier albums (from before MOP) but thats just my opinion. Edit: Get More BLACK SABBATH"

Don't you just hate the way the media portrays bipolar disorder? Or any mental disorder for that matter? I'm bipolar and never in my life have I ever done the extreme things characters on TV do. I was watching 90210 earlier tonight and one of the characters was acting in that stereotypical hollywood way that bipolar disorder is presented. So I looked it up online, hoping I could have faith in TV again and it would be something else. Sure enough, spoilers say she's bipolar. She videotaped herself having sex with her boyfriend, showed it to a crowd, acted super stalkery, begging her boyfriend not to leave her, started a fire in his backyard, then broke into her teachers house and blamed him for it, then threw a bottle of champagne at him. All in one episode! I've also watched a lifetime movie that was soooo grossly exaggerated it was ridiculous. So many teen shows have had "bipolar" characters, as well as more adult shows. All of them represent the bipolar person in the same light: crazy, psycho, hyper, obsessive, violent, promiscuous, angry, sad, ecstatic, self-destructive, etc. As I said, I'm bipolar, take lithium, blah blah blah. I'm a senior in high school, third in my class, taking [and passing] four college classes, play on the tennis team, have a normal group of friends, am an avid amateur filmmaker, and have been accepted to one of the top schools in the nation. [not trying to toot my own horn, just making a point] I'm basically the boy next door. Never in my life have I ever behaved the way these so-called bipolar characters behave. I know there are certain bipolar people out there who do act like that if they don't take their meds, but it's a much smaller percentage compared to the well-adjusted, well-functioning, positive, creative, intuitive members of society that are bipolar. It's the same way with other illnesses [god, I hate that word] too. The media takes the very extreme worst case scenario and makes it seem as though that's the norm. Nevermind all the brilliant innovators before us that had mental disorders, let's just focus on the worst of the worst, that'll get ratings! It's ridiculous.

Ms Cat replied: "There is the very rare case of bipolar where they are out of control angry (and unmedicated to boot) but those are the very fringe extreme, even for us. It does create a bad name for all of us, on the other hand if you read enough of the "I think I'm bipolar" questions here they say things like "I was happy 10 minutes ago, now I'm angry. I must be bipolar". that view if it trivializes what we deal with. I have been full on manic and pissed off at a man..... I wanted to throw rocks at his house and key his car etc..... but even then I managed to restrain myself....... All it does is contribute to the stigma caused by ignorance and fear..... It would be nice to for once to see a show that portrays us as we are..... intelligent, creative people who deal with an illness....... God forbid a diabetic be looked down on like we are....."

FredandGeorgeWeasly replied: "I hate it too. My sis is bipolar, so I have first-hand experience. However, she also has some other disorder with her brain that makes her bipolar twenty times worse. She's on ten different medications and is still acting like a bipolar kid, the way they act on T.V. But I hate it that people automatically step farther away from her when I tell them that she's bipolar."
